Christophe Harbor Chief Operating Officer, Mr. LeGrand Elebash said progress continues on each segment of the company’s US$2 billion development on St. Kitts’ Southeast Peninsula with roughly 40 confirmed home sales in the Sandy Bank area.
“This is extremely encouraging given the challenging economic environment that we face today,” he said at a news conference.
Mr. Elebash said the company this year launched a multi-million dollar international marketing campaign designed to reach buyers throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe.
“We continue to invest heavily in marketing,” he told journalists, pointing out that one of the benefits of the marketing campaign is the publicity that St. Kitts and Nevis gets when Christophe Harbor.
The first of 90 homes for the Sandy Bank Bay area is under construction.
He said that by the end of this month, the company hopes to award a multi-million dollar contract for installing the infrastructure at Sandy Bank Bay.
“The dirt roads have been cut and we will begin road construction, paving, the construction of storm drains, management features and utilities,” said Mr. Elebash.
He said local contractors will be engaged in the construction phases of the project.
Christophe Harbor’s 2,500-acre development will encompass an 18-hole championship golf course, mega-yacht harbour and marina village, hotels, ocean front homes, luxury villas, hotel residences and shops surrounded by six pristine beaches.
The developers and the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis visualize the creation of an incomparable seaside resort that will bring the twin-islands to the forefront of destinations across the world, and revolutionise luxury travel in the Caribbean.
