Man Shot In Broad Daylight

On Saturday 27th November 2010 at approximately 1:15 pm police received a report of a shooting at Whites, Upper Cayon. Police officers from the Cayon Police Station, Criminal Investigations Department, Special Services Unit and the Anti-Gang Unit responded to the call immediately. Upon arrival their investigations revealed that 45 years old Brian Maynard of Buckles was driving a truck in Whites Upper, Cayon and doing drinks delivery sales, when he was attacked by two (2) masked assailants armed with a gun each and was shot in his left shoulder by one. Maynard was taken to the Mary Charles Hospital in private vehicle but was later transported by the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) to the JNF Hospital where he is been warded in stable condition. There are no suspects however investigators are vigorously following up on a number of leads. Investigations are ongoing.
