Cruise Tourists at Port Zante

Friday’s visit by two Carnival Cruise Line ships ended another good week for stakeholders with the visit of a total of nearly 19,000 visitors.
The Carnival Victory and the Carnival Miracle which berth on Friday brought the number of visits by ships in that week to 10 ““ including an unscheduled call of the small 180-passenger Le Levant.
The 2,680-passenger Miracle arrived from St. Lucia with 2,179 passengers and later sailed for Florida, while the 3,050- passenger Victory which also arrived from St. Lucia docked with 3,167 passengers and later went on to nearby St. Maarten.
The 5,346 passengers on both Carnival ships brought the number of passengers for last week to 18,753.
Adding the 22,374 passengers that visited in the first week of December, the number for the month so far stands at 41,127 passengers.
Figures from the Marine Department of the St. Christopher and Nevis Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) reveal some 75,000 cruise passengers visited Port Zante in the month of November.
