Well known Kittitian personality Elvis “Jam Down” Manners was last evening released from police custody some 24 hours after being arrested while participating in the hugely successful People’s Action Movement organized “MARCH TO SAVE OUR LAND”
Manners was interviewed by a Police Corporal in the presence of Inspector Lyndon David and former parliamentarian and Ag Prime Minister Attorney Constance Mitcham at 3:00 pm. He was later processed and charged by Warrant in the First Instance which read “That Elvis Manners being a participant in a Public March held by the Peoples Action Movement was found displaying Seditious Publication”.
He was bailed at approximately 5.45 pm by Narna Eddy and Jacqueline Rock on Station Bail on instructions of Magistrate Josephine Mallalieu. “Jam Down” is down to appear in court on January 7th 2013.
On exiting Police HQ manners was met by Deputy Leader Hon. Eugene Hamilton, Deputy Chairman Jonel Powell, Chairman Selwyn Liburd, former Chairmen and lawyers MacClure “Mackie” Taylor and Chesley Hamilton along with a group of friends and party supporters.
