St. Kitts – Nevis Has Two Independence Day Babies

St. Kitts and Nevis‘ Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas on Wednesday congratulated the parents of the Federation’s two Independence babies.

Following the traditional Independence Parade at the new Warner Park Stadium, the St. Kitts and Nevis leader visited all the patients at the Joseph N. France General Hospital.

His first stop was the Maternity Ward where he congratulated all the new mothers on Independence Day.

Dr. Douglas has special congratulations for Market Street resident, Desiree Elliott-Thomas, who gave birth at 6:05 A.M. to a little girl weighing 7 pounds and two ounces. The proud father is Police recruit Rashaedi Thomas, who was at the web site to witness the birth and then hurried to Warner Park to participate in the Independence Parade marking the 24th Anniversary of Political Independence.

Dr. Douglas also visited and congratulated Vanessa Williams of Tabernacle, who gave birth to a little boy at 6:45 A.M. The boy weighed six pounds and fourteen ounces. The proud father if Joseph Browne.

There were no births at the Alexandra Hospital in Nevis.
