St. Kitts – Nevis Design Contest For HIV Pin

The National Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (NACHA) is inviting all primary and high school students of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis to take part in a pin design competition.  The winning design will become the official NACHA pin.

Competition entries must have cultural reference to St. Kitts and Nevis and its national heritage as well as enable students to demonstrate their ability to communicate design and layout skills.  The design must have the basic HIV symbol shape and reflect some aspect of St. Kitts and Nevis.  It must be limited to no more than four colours and can have colour separations but this does not include raised lines of gold or silver between the colours.

The submitted designs should be easily reduced to 1¼” by ¾” which is the maximum size pin.

All submissions will become the property of NACHA and will not be returned.  Use of copyrighted or registered artwork is prohibited without verified permission from the original artist/publisher.  Artwork can be submitted by individuals only, no teamwork is allowed.

All entries must be submitted and received by July 14, 2008.  They must include the student’s name, school, phone number and age and must be submitted in full colour on 8½” by 11″ paper or by email.  Submissions should be sent/taken to the Former Ministry of Education Building, Cayon Street, Basseterre, St. Kitts or can be emailed to [email protected] .  For additional information call 467-1106 or 467-1234.
