Ongoing Civil Service Training In St. Kitts – Nevis

New employees to the Civil Service are in for a one day immersion experience on Friday when they are introduced to the fundamentals of public service success.

“Understanding the Public Service: A Training Workshop For Civil Servants,” is the activity planned for individuals hired as recently as September, 2008.

Among topics which will be discussed at the event are the General Orders; how we are governed and compensation and benefit packages among others.

Presenters from the National Caribbean Insurance and Social Security will also contribute to the activity which has as its main objective, encouraging new employees to practice professionalism on the job.

Human Resource Director Heather Richardson said areas of special focus would be customer service, punctuality, accountability and interpersonal skills.

Sessions will be conducted at the Ocean Terrace Inn from 8:30 am to 4:00pm. The training will continue on Thursday October 30th with a financial management session.
