November 20, 2007

Royal St. Kitts Hotel & Casino, a family-run business formerly known as Jack Tar Village for over 20 years, is pleased to announce that it will officially re-open on Saturday, December 1, 2007 with a younger look and feel and a reinvigorated focus on the Kittitian culture.

The Hotel has infused this renewed focus into every aspect of its services and facilities; from its new logo, which features the Royal Poinciana, the national flower of St. Kitts and Nevis, to its nightly showcase of local Kittitian talent, Royal St. Kitts Hotel & Casino aims to deliver an authentic island experience.Royal St. Kitts Hotel & Casino offers affordable All-Inclusive packages, where children under 12 can stay for free.  Eighty (80) guest rooms will be ready to receive new guests and welcome back many repeat ones on December 1.  The remaining 202 rooms will become available in phases early next year.  The hotel boasts an array of amenities, including two restaurants, six bars, two pools, four tennis courts, a banquet facility, and the Royal St. Kitts Casino.  The Cane Club and The Lime Beach Cabana, located on the Atlantic Beach, are also scheduled to open shortly.

Royal St. Kitts Hotel & Casino opened on Saturday, September 10, 1983, giving St. Kitts its very first casino and major hotel.  The Hotel’s commitment to promoting Kittitian culture has been on prominent display at its entrance since the early 1980s; a unique fountain, made out of a sugar-boiling cauldron known as a “copper”, stands as a symbol of St. Kitts’ sugar-producing history.  All of the coins tossed into the fountain by Royal St. Kitts Hotel & Casino’s guests and staff will continue to be donated to the local Children’s Home.
