Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, the Caribbean’s only historic plantation inn on the beach, has just been honored by two prestigious travel magazines. The intimate Nevis resort was recognized by Travel + Leisure in the 2013 World’s Best Service awards and by Condé Nast Traveler among “The 35 Best Island Resorts for Food.”
“These awards are especially meaningful as they directly honor the ladies and gentlemen of Nisbet Plantation, who I believe are the heart of our resort,” said Andrew Hall, General Manager of Nisbet Plantation Beach Club. “Our dedicated team genuinely enjoys welcoming guests to their island home, and Executive Chef Tony and Pastry Chef Danilo are culinary artists who create the most delectable cuisine incorporating the fresh ingredients found on Nevis.”
World’s Best Service
In the Travel + Leisure 2013 World’s Best Service awards, Nisbet Plantation ranked No. 9 among Resorts, Inns, and Lodges worldwide and No. 1 in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas. The resort had a score of 97.95. This marks the third consecutive appearance on the prestigious list.
The Travel + Leisure 2013 World’s Best Service awards honors “the hotels, resorts, airlines and cruise lines that earned top scores for service, as rated by readers in the T+L World’s Best Awards survey.” The awards are featured in the June 2013 issue of Travel + Leisure magazine and available online at travelandleisure.com.
Best Island Resorts for Food
With a score of 97.5, Nisbet Plantation ranked No. 6 in the world ““ the top-rated resort in the Caribbean ““in the Condé Nast Traveler list of “The 35 Best Island Resorts for Food.” The editors mentioned that a “Don’t Miss” is the “candlelit dinner on the veranda of the 1778 Great House, with a view of the resort’s stately Avenue of Palms.”
“The 35 Best Island Resorts for Food” represent the resorts and hotels from islands throughout the world that scored the highest in the food category in the Condé Nast Traveler annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey.
