Derrick Huggins – Nisbet Rooms Manager

Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, the Caribbean’s only historic plantation inn on the beach, has appointed Derrick Huggins to Rooms Division Manager. Huggins has begun to oversee the daily rooms division operations, continue developing service excellence standards and adding to the staff training efforts of the award-winning 36-room Nevis resort.
Huggins returns to his native Nevis, a part of the two-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. He brings to the position more than 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Most recently, Huggins served as the Rooms Division Assistant Manager at the Four Seasons Resort, Whistler, British Columbia in Canada. Prior to that, he served as the Resort Night Manager followed by the Resort Assistant Manager at Four Season Resort, Nevis.
Huggins brings to his position at Nisbet Plantation an in-depth working knowledge of delivering service excellence while successfully implementing revenue-generating initiatives that contributed to the financial success of the resorts he has served. He also brings extensive training knowledge having routinely been paired with staff to help solidify their positions for success. Huggins brings a personal and professional desire to go above and beyond for the guests and to lead those around him to do the same.
