PetroCaribe Summitt To Be Held In St. Kitts

New plans of cooperation will be discussed during the 6th Petrocaribe Summit that takes place on Thursday and Friday in the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
According to the Cuban Granma news daily, participants in the meeting will not only assess advances in the field of energy cooperation but they will also analyze the design and implementation of new plans in the agriculture and food production sectors.
Other topics to be discussed during infrastructure projects to optimise logistics related to the supply of hydrocarbons, the consolidation of joint ventures for the implementation of investments, infrastructure, exchange and projects of endogenous development.
Seven working groups will focus in the following themes: advances in the area of energy saving projects and the efficient use of energy; renewable sources of energy; petrochemical products; gas supply; education and training; system of exchange and compensation of the oil invoice; and fair trade.
The meeting takes place at the ministerial level on Thursday while the heads of state and government will meet on Friday at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.
