The island of Nevis welcomed an extraordinary gathering of 300 swimmers on Saturday, April 6, 2024, for the annual Nevis to St Kitts Cross Channel Swim. Participants traveled from countries including Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Peru, Brazil, Algeria, Mexico, and several Caribbean islands ranging from Saba to the British Virgin Islands.

This highly anticipated event draws swimmers of all skill levels to take on a thrilling open-water challenge. Participants traverse a 4-kilometer (2.5-mile) stretch across the scenic Narrows, the channel that separates the sister islands of Nevis and St Kitts. The route begins at Oualie Beach on Nevis and concludes at Cockleshell Bay in St Kitts, offering panoramic views and crystal-clear waters where swimmers can see down to the seabed.
