NRP Foots The Bill For Bash

“February 25th to 27th will be an NRP Weekend on the Island of Nevis as events hosted by the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) will take place this coming weekend,” said Premier of Nevis, Hon. Joseph Parry on Wednesday morning.
According to Premier Parry the weekend will start with a free Reggae show on Friday, February 25th at the St. James Raceway at 8:00 pm. The show will feature Jamaican artist Busy Signal, who was born Reanno Gordon in St. Ann’s parish.
Busy Signal is known for hits including: Jail, Step Out, Tic Toc, Deal Wid It and Loaded.
On Saturday, February 26th, the Premier said there will be a Miss NRP Queen and Calypso show at the Cultural Complex from 8:00 pm. The entrance fee is $20.00 “Each lady will be representing a parish on Nevis and each Calypsonian will sing about Nevis and the achievements of the party since it took office in 2006.
The contestants for the queen show are Phillichare Hobson of St. Thomas’ Parish, Mikahilia Lawrence is representing St. James Parish, T-Shari Hull of St. John’s Parish, from St. George’s Parish it is Hydeia Tyson and Oceania Williams hailing from St. Paul’s Parish. While the Calypsonians contesting the title are Daddy Nature, Gharlic, Luxman, De Enforcer, By Surprise, Pupa Wheeler, Nutsy and Hollywood.
The weekend concludes on Sunday, February 27th with, “the mother of all conventions” the NRP convention which will be held at the Occasions Event Center on Pinney’s Road at 3:00 pm.
“There is an event every night this weekend and we invite everyone to come out and participate in the fun filled weekend of activities ,” concluded the Premier.
