Joseph Parry, the Nevis Island Administration Cabinet, the NRP Woman’s Arm, the NRP Executive and Supporters Congregated at the United Pentecostal Church at Marion Heights.
The Premier read Psalm 27 to the congregation saying that the Bible verse was one that everyone should read because it gave strength.
“We have faced tribulations in our private lives and as a party but with the prayers of sinners and saints we have done well,” remarked Mr. Parry.
During Premier Parry’s brief remarks, he focused on the young men in Nevis and said as a people, a church and a Government all entities should reach out to the young men and inform them that there was nothing to gain from a gun.
“We need to keep this country clean, we need to keep this country fair, we need to keep this country peaceful!” he said.
Mr. Parry informed the congregation that the leaders of the country must lead the way with positive actions.
