The Ministry of Tourism through the Miss Teen Hospitality Pageant committee has strengthened its tourism outreach initiatives by facilitating a number of activities for the pageant’s contestants.

Since the December 16th launch at the Memorial Square in Charlestown, the six beauties have met and spoken with the island’s Premier and Minister of Tourism the Honourable Joseph Parry, participated in a televised interview with the Nevis Island Administration’s Department of Information, attended the Crossroad Community Church and journeyed to St. Kitts where they toured the Carnival Victory Cruise Ship.

The contestants will on January 30th be featured in a fashion show at the Pinney’s Beach Hotel and on Feburary 5th vie for the title of Miss Teen Hospitality 2011.

Miss Sunshine’s Bar and Grill Clareisa Sommersall, Miss Nisbet’s Plantation Beach Club Erica Doras and Miss Oualie Beach Resort Glennetta Isaac attend the Gingerland Secondary School while Miss Nevis Air and Seaports Authority Yahsulazie Grant is a student at the Nevis Sixth Form College.

Miss Seabridge SKN Incorporated Nakita Thibou and Miss Nevisian Heritage Village Tanica Tom-Fernandez are students at the Charlestown and Lyn Jeffers Secondary Schools respectively.

With less than two weeks remaining before the pageant, tickets have already been made available at the Ministry of Tourism’s office at Bath Plain, the Nisbet’s Plantation Beach Club, the Gingerland, Charlestown and Lyn Jeffers Secondary schools and Seven Image.

The tickets are being sold EC $10.00 and EC $20.00.
