Kevin Donovan aka Masud Sadiki is such a big Fan of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival 2009/2010 page on Facebook ““ and we on this page are such big Fans of his amazing talent ““ that he has given the Carnival page the privilege of posting the lyrics for “˜Keep It Down to Earth’.
This is the World Exclusive Release of “˜Keep It Down to Earth’, which is the title track on his forthcoming album.
Masud wrote the song “˜Keep It Down to Earth’ and Hakeem Samuel produced the music for it. Kepoleet Music and Jahnyqua Music are the publishers.
The performer told the administrator of the Carnival page that he wrote the song after hearing a caller to a radio programme speaking about him on the air.
“The topic they were discussing on the radio was about music and its power and influence on people, especially young children,” said Masud.
“He said that I have some very positive and inspiring songs, and that he has been a huge fan of mine for many years,” Masud added. “He also said that although he has never met me, he believes that I am a very humble, easygoing and down-to-earth kind of person.”
Masud said that he immediately drew inspiration from those accolades.
“I thought of some people who are super successful or rich yet they still remain down-to-earth, humble and connected to the so-called “˜little people’ they may come across in life,” said Masud. “I also thought of some others who are just as successful and rich, but feel like they are better than others and even look down upon them with scorn.”
He added: “So I decided to write this simple song to remind us all to remain humble and respectful to all.”
Masud’s Official Album Release Concert will be held on Friday, December 11 in Carnival Village, starting at 8:00p.m.
The St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee has endorsed Masud’s album release concert as one of the Pre-Carnival Events on the Carnival schedule.
