In another outstanding show of mutual partnership The Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine has raised the medical care offerings of the JNF Hospital.

Minister of Health the Honourable Rupert Herbert and Medical Chief of Staff Dr. Cameron Wilkenson accompanied by other health care workers gratefully received two new Dynamac machines from Mr. Gilbert Berne, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Ross University.

Mr. Berne said his university was dedicated to continued good relations with the people of the Federation. He added that the donation was a tribute to the kindness and care received by Ross staff and students.

Commenting on the challenges of maintaining and delivering high quality medical care, Minister Herbert said while Government has continued to provide state of the art structures, keeping them outfitted with the necessary equipment is costly. He said his ministry has consistently sought strong partnerships with corporate and other organizations and applauded Ross University for its outstanding contributions to the development of St. Kitts and Nevis in a number of areas such as apartment rentals.

Medical Chief of Staff Cameron Wilkenson said the quick turn around time associates with this donation was admirable as discussions had started just three months ago.

The new continuous monitoring machines measure heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation and temperature. They are also portable which implies that they can be used in ambulances when patients are being transported.
