Good news for the tourism industry in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
American Airlines is to officially announce Monday night, the introduction of direct service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International into St. Kitts’ Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport.
According to well-informed sources the New York – St. Kitts – Nevis service is to commence on Sunday November 18th 2007.
American Airlines already operates a direct flight between St. Kitts and Miami.Since taking office in July 1995, the governing St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party has enhanced the Federation’s tourism industry and has attracted US Airways from Philadelphia and North Carolina, Excel Airways from London-Gatwick, England; American Airlines from Miami and several charters from Europe and North America.
A new terminal, new parking apron and Met Office have been constructed at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport; the cruise pier has been re-designed and reconstructed and several shops built at Port Zante; more cruise ships are calling at Port Zante; The construction and opening of the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino; the opening of the refurbished world class golf course at Frigate Bay; and the expansion of
Ocean Terrace Inn, Ottley’s Plantation and Rawlins Plantation Inn.
