Active COVID-19 Cases Rises To 1133
According to the COVID-19 update report shared by the St. Kitts – Nevis health ministry, in total 123 additional COVID cases were recorded on Monday, January 10, 2022. With this new data, the total number of active cases rises to 1133.
No death was recorded in the twin-island Federation. So far, a total of 3,178 patients have recovered, and have been discharged from the hospital facilities, as per the COVID-19 update report.
Since the coronavirus pandemic emerged in St Kitts and Nevis, it reported 4,339 total confirmed cases of the COVID-19, out of which 3,697 were recorded in St. Kitts and 642 on the island of Nevis.
St. Kitts and Nevis COVID-19 vaccination report issued by the Ministry of Health further shows that through January 7, 2022, around 81.6 % of its adult population have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
At the same time, around 76.1% got their required jabs of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccine and are now fully vaccinated.
The data in the health ministry’s report further highlights that about 16.9% of children are partially vaccinated by taking their first shot, whereas 14.5% of children are fully inoculated by acquiring their second shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The twin-island Federation has also started to administer the eligible population with booster shots, to which so far, 6.8% population has received it.
The coronavirus vaccination report further reveals – the total number of doses administered: 55,841 doses administered in St Kitts: 42,492, doses administered in Nevis: 13,349 and the total number of booster shots administered: 2,230.
