St. Kitts and Nevis‘ Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, the Hon. Patrice Nisbett is in Barbados attending the 42nd Meeting of the Council of Legal Education.
Attorney General Nisbett and other Council members during the meeting at the Hilton Barbados, received reports from the Executive Committee Meetings in the Bahamas, Jamaica and Grenada.
Council members also received reports from the Principals and Registrars of the Eugene Dupuch Law School in The Bahamas; the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica and from the sub committees on Rules and Regulations and Admissions Board.
A report from the University of the West Indies Faculty of Law on the UWI Task Force on the increase in student intake was also received.
The election of a Chairman and members of the Executive Committee were also on the agenda as well as the dates for the next meetings of the Executive and Council in January and September respectively in 2011.
On Thursday Council members and invited guests attended a Dinner and Fifth Lecture in the Dr. Lloyd Barnett Distinguished Lecture Series.
