Four cruise ships with over 6,500 passengers visited St. Kitts on Wednesday.
The 6,597 passengers arriving Wednesday, the 6,342 that came on Sunday and the 2.097 that visited on Tuesday, bring to 15,278 the total number of cruise passengers to visit St. Kitts between Sunday 14th and Wednesday 17th March.
On Wednesday, the 2,680-passenger Carnival Miracle arrived from St. Lucia with 2,324 passengers and 916 crew and departed for Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; the 1,950-passenger Sea Princess arrived from St. Thomas with 2,030 passengers and 844 crew and left for Antigua; the 2,450-passenger arrived with 2.044 passengers and 934 crew from St. Croix and left for Dominica and the 255-passenger Royal Clipper arrived from Nevis with 199 passengers and a crew of 108 before departing for Guadeloupe.
On Tuesday, the 2,450-passenger Celebrity Summit arrived from St. Croix with 2,097 passengers and 940. It sailed later for Antigua.
The three cruise ships visiting Sunday were the 1,692 passenger Ocean Village with 1600 passengers and a crew of 505. It arrived from St. Maarten and departed for Antigua. The 2,682 passenger Celebrity Mercury arrived from St. Maarten with 1,828 passengers and 858 crew and returned to Charleston. The 3,100 passenger Ruby Princess arrived from St. Thomas with 3,156 passengers and 1180 crew and departed for Barbados.
On Thursday 18th the 200-passenger Seabourn Legend and the 2,500 passenger Norwegian Dawn are scheduled to berth at Port Zante. Two ships the 3,473-passenger Carnival Victory and the 1,611-passenger Thomson Destiny are to dock on Friday.
Most of the passengers came ashore and went on sightseeing tours via taxis, the Scenic Railway and tour buses to Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, Romney Manor, Caribelle Batik, the National Museum, as well as snorkeling, sun and sea bathing at the island’s best beaches, sailing, hiking and shopping for souvenirs.
