CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (July 17, 2006) — The Nevis Co-operative Credit Union (NCCU) joined the wider community in donating a cheque of EC$3000.00 to the Nevis Culturama Committee at the NCCU Customer Care Department in Charlestown on Monday July 17, 2006.
The NCCU Manager, Mr Sidney Newton handed over the cheque which would be specifically used for Charlestown Primary School participants of the Mr. and Ms. Talented Youth Show. The Credit Union has donated gifts and prizes to the Culturama Committee for the past 10 years with special focus on the youth.
“Over the past three (3) years the NCCU has been donating prizes and gifts specifically to the Mr. and Ms. Talented Youth Show. We donated the cheque because of our support for the young people and children of Nevis,” Mr. Newton said.
Marketing Chairperson Mr. Huey Sargeant accepted the cheque on behalf of the Culturama Committee and thanked the NCCU for its generous donation. Also present at the brief presentation was Executive Director of the Culturama Secretariat Mr. Antonio “Abonatý” Liburd.
