Charlestown, Nevis – July 2007
The Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry, along with Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Ashley Farrell, left the Federation on Sunday, July 1, 2007 to attend the Twenty- Eighth meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community in Barbados 1-3 July 2007.
The meeting will be held at the Hilton Barbados Hotel, St. Michael, Barbados and Chaired by the Rt. Hon. Owen Arthur, Prime Minister of Barbados who assumes the Chairmanship of the conference for the six- month period commencing 1 July 2007.
Matters for discussion at this decision making meeting will be: Human Resource Development and Health including preparations for the Regional Summit on Non-Communicable Diseases, Caricom Single Market and Economy (CSME), Air and Maritime Transportation and Major issues arising from and follow up to the Conference on the Caribbean that was held in Washington D.C ““ June 21, 2007.
