Just over 5,000 cruise ship passengers on three ships visited St. Kitts – Nevis on Wednesday.

The 55,000-ton Maasdam arrived from St. Thomas with 1,241 passengers and 585 crew and docked at the Deep Water Port; while the 77,000-ton Galaxy with 1,903 passengers and 842 crew arrived from Dominica and the 78,000-ton Vision of the Seas arrived from Antigua with 1,911 passengers and docked at Port Zante.

The Galaxy sailed for Tortola; the Maasdam for Barbados and the Vision of the Seas went to Dominica.

Most of the passengers on the ships disembarked and went on sight-seeing tours via taxis, tour buses and the St. Kitts Scenic Railway; shopping, sun and sea-bathing, hiking, horse-back riding, snorkeling, golfing, kayaking, spear fishing and sailing.

Tuesday, the 2,450-passenger Constellation, the 710-passenger Journey and the 308 passenger Windsurf visited; and on Saturday the 3,473-passenger Carnival Victory, the 2,680-passenger Carnival Miracle and the 3,100 passenger Emerald Princess berth. The 1664-passenger Thomson Destiny berths on Friday and on Saturday, the 1,875-passenger Island Star; the 3,473-passenger Carnival Victory and the 3,100-passenger Ventura will dock folowed by the 3,100-passenger Grand Princess on Sunday.

Twenty-two cruise ships with a total capacity of 40,000 passengers visited St. Kitts since the first of February, nine of them since Saturday.

An estimated 64,000 cruise passengers are expected to visit St. Kitts – Nevis this month from 31 cruise ship calls.
