St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas said St. Kitts would be willing if ask to host the abandoned Second Test match between the West Indies and England in Antigua.

“We understand that the match has been abandoned,” said Prime Minister Douglas as he went to the podium to address over 500 young people attending the launch ceremony of a Youth Empowerment though Skills Programme (YES) at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium.

While seated during the ceremony, the Prime Minister was passed a note, which informed him of the situation in Antigua.

“A little bird, has just whispered to me that our Warner Park Cricket Stadium maybe asked to be the venue of the match. Do you want them to come here? asked Prime Minister Douglas of the 500 young people attending the event.

“Yeah!!!” said the crowd in response.

Dr. Douglas, who is also the Minister of Sports said work will be done during the day to host the match if such a request is made.
