The Marriott’s St. Kitts Beach Club, which opened two years ago, has been averaging an annual occupancy of nearly 100 percent weekly.

“The Marriott’s St. Kitts Beach Resort averaged nearly 350 owners and guests each week for an average annual occupancy of 94 percent,” said the Aruban-born General Manager, Mr. Pieter J. Knot at Wednesday afternoon’s ribbon cutting ceremony for the official opening of an additional 22 two-and three-bedroom villas on the grounds of the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and the Royal Beach Casino, opened in 2003.

Mr. Knot said that the economic impact to St. Kitts is significant as illustrated by the statistics, adding that the performance and popularity of the Marriott’s St. Kitts Beach Resort reflects a strong and steady interest in travel to St. Kitts now and in the future.

He noted that since the resort first opened two years ago, 35 operations have been created and hired locally.

“We are very pleased to have such fine associates working hard each day to provide unforgettable vacation experiences,” he said.

It has been disclosed that since the opening of Marriott’s St. Kitts Beach Club in 2007, it has brought an additional 13,000 new visitors to St. Kitts.

Occupiers of the Marriott’s St. Kitts Beach Club use the amenities offered by the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and The Royal Beach Casino, which is on the same compound and also use the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club.
