Budget Day – Nevis, West Indies

Tuesday, December 9, 2008 will be Budget Day in Nevis.
The Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. Joseph Parry will present the 2009 Budget Address in the House of Assembly.
He will provide information on the budgeting allocations for the various ministries and give a fiscal prospect for 2009.
In a lead up to the Budget debate, Premier Parry hosted a national Consultation aimed at forging a stronger relationship between the private and public sector in Nevis on October 7th.
The one-day exercise drew over 150 delegates from the private and public sector and community groups on Nevis.
The consultation on the economy is a comprehensive consultative process where the various economic sectors share their perspectives and recommendations on the economy, prior to the Annual Presentation of the Budget.
