Nevis Premier Begins A Three Day Quarantine
Nevis Premier Mark Brantley returned to Nevis on Sunday, September 26, 2021 following a successful trip to the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Mr. Brantley led an in-person delegation to the international assembly comprising His Excellency Ian Liburd- Permanent Representative of St. Kitts and Nevis to the United Nations; Ms. Ghislaine Williams- Minister Counsellor, and Ms. Asha DeSuza- First Secretary.
“This year’s General Assembly is critical for the world, but specifically for our region as we battle with COVID-19 and the ongoing threat and of course existential threats to our survival, such as climate change.
Upon his return, Mr. Brantley entered into a three-day quarantine period in adherence with the established COVID-19 health and safety protocols of the Federation.
During his absence, Deputy Premier Hon. Alexis Jeffers served as Acting Premier of Nevis.
