Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry and his wife, Mirthlyn, greeted numerous guests as they arrived at the locally owned Oualie Beach Hotel for cocktails, in honour of the celebrations marking the 25th Anniversary of Independence of the Federation of St.Kitts-Nevis.

The guests were treated to tasty delicacies and entertained by the sounds of Nevis’ cultural musicians Jazzique and his band Muse, who had everyone moving to the beat of their melodic rhythms.

The event was very well attended by a wide cross section of society in Nevis, including persons from both the public and private sectors, and the young and not so young, all of whom came out to celebrate 25 yeas of Independence.

It was truly a joyous occasion with a great atmosphere. Guests were treated not only to great music, masquerades, and a big drum, but also a marvellous fireworks display.

Premier Parry, in a short address to his guests, reminded them all of their roots, while stressing the importance of ensuring a positive future for Nevis.
