Celebrations marking the St.Kitts – Nevis 25th Anniversary of Independence get into full gear this week with a number of activities which will be highlighted by the Ceremonial Parade at Grove Park on Friday, at 8:00 a.m.

The activities taking place this week will include a Schools Patriotic Programme and Treat and the Premier’s Gala at Four Seasons Resort at 7:00p.m.on Wednesday, September 17th.  On Friday, September 19th there will be Drag Racing at 1:00p.m at the Drag racing grounds in St. James Parish; the Premier’s Reception at the Oualie Beach Hotel at 7:00p.m and the Tempo Concert at Long Point at 9:00 p.m.

Some of the acts for the Tempo concert will be Soca Diva Destra Garcia, the Mighty Sparrow, Machel Montano and Calypso Great David Rudder.

Under the theme: “Pride, Progress and Development Independence, 25 years of Success”, residents of Nevis celebrated with a successful religious concert at the Church of God at Eden Brown last Thursday, the Caribbean Wellness Day Walk from Golden Rock to Villa Grounds on Saturday and  a Service of Prayer and Thanksgiving  last Sunday at the Netball Complex.
