What’s New At Montpelier

Holding true to form we have had a busy summer making many improvements and changes to the hotel.

The ballroom has been spiced up with new colors and new artwork.
The great house bathrooms have been transformed with a more contemporary look.
The breakfast room has been repainted with a new color as well as new artwork.
The pool mural wall has been changed and the ends of the pool have been opened to the views of both the mountain and the ocean.
Ocean kayaks and Trek 4300 mountain bikes have been added to the beach activities.
The Spa, our new private treatment room, opened in October. We now offer a full selection of spa treatments.

Indigo:

Congratulations to Paul and Susan Roberts of New York, NY who named our new restaurant in this past summer’s competition.  They will be enjoying a complimentary dinner at Indigo upon their next visit.

Indigo opened in late October and has been very well received by both our guests and locals alike.  The tapas-inspired menu offers a casual dining option and our guests an alternative to fine dining on the Terrace.  The restaurant offers a very different type of cuisine than what is in Nevis currently. Indigo is open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6pm to 9pm.

Kitchen update:

As many of you are aware Janice has relocated to Golden Rock and is doing very well at their new restaurant, The Rock. Kosta, who previously worked with Janice, has been promoted to Executive Chef and Erwan has joined the team as Executive Sous Chef. We are continuing to put much emphasis on purchasing local ingredients and have recently started working with a local gentleman who farms organic chicken, therefore no longer needing to import from the States. On December 5th we will open our demonstration kitchen located at the Courtyard Terrace which we will alternately use for Indigo and cooking demonstrations throughout the course of the year.
