A new campaign aimed at reducing and eradicating youth gang violence and crime in St. Kitts and Nevis and the Caribbean was discussed Wednesday when Founder, Chairman and CEO of TEMPO, Mr. Frederick Morton Jr. paid a courtesy call on St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.
Dr. Douglas and Mr. Morton, national of St. Kitts and Nevis, discussed the campaign which will involve tours to schools in St. Kitts and Nevis and concluding with a “Badness Outta Style” Concert.
The anti-violence campaign which will be duplicated throughout the Caribbean will involve regional governments, corporate Caribbean, students, teachers, parents, the religious community and other social partners.
More information will be disclosed as soon as arrangements are made.
The discussion comes weeks after St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas convened a National Consultation on Crime attended by a wide cross section of the community including youths, educators, political leaders and the religious and business community.
