Residents of Nevis are urged by the Nevis HIV/AIDS Coordinating Unit to find out their status.
A Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) Day will take place on Wednesday, December 17th at the Ministry of Health Parking Lot from 7:00am to 4:30pm.
Nevis HIV/AIDS Coordinator, Mrs. Nadine Carty said it is very important that the general populace know their status.
“Once persons with the disease are aware that they have it, they can receive medicine to control their body from rapidly deteriorating and they can also refrain from passing the disease on to others,” articulated Mrs. Caines.
She also noted that it is important that people were aware that the entire process is guaranteed confidential.
