The people of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis will be receiving another early 25th Anniversary Independence gift in the form of free medical clinics.

The offer comes from the Government and people of Cuba, and on Saturday, June 14, 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., residing medical doctors of Cuba will be joined by medical doctors of the Federation, who were trained in Cuba, to provide free medical attention to residents of Sandy Point and nearby environs. The clinic will be held in Sandy Points Community Centre.

The medical practitioners will provide attention in areas such as Pediatrics, Ophthalmology; Orthopedics, Dentistry, Physiotherapy and distribute information on HIV/AIDS. According to the Ambassador of Cuba, Her Excellency Ana Maria Gonzalez Suarez, the clinics may be extended to other communities.

The 25th Anniversary Independence gift of free clinics to St. Kitts and Nevis also commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the Revolution of Cuba and pays tribute to one of Cuba’s socio-political icons, Ernesto Che Guevara.
