Over US$300,000 worth of furniture and equipment will be handed over on Thursday to the Government of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis by the United States Government.
The Barbados-based United States Ambassador to St. Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Mr. Larry Palmer informed St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas during a courtesy call on Tuesday that he will hand over the equipment on behalf of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The equipment is for the recently completed New Horizons Rehabilitation Center at Harris’.
The handing over ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday 20th September and coincides with the visit to St. Kitts by the top American diplomat to participate in celebrations to mark the 29th Anniversary of Independence.
