Nisbet Plantation Beach Club on Nevis has received three honors from leading travel authorities, TripAdvisor and AAA.

In the 2012 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards, Nisbet Plantation was ranked #6 among the Top 25 Hotels in the Caribbean. They were the only hotel from St. Kitts or Nevis on this list.

Additionally, Nisbet Plantation was ranked #8 among the Top 25 Hotels for Service in the Caribbean. This is the fourth year that Nisbet Plantation has been honored in the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards.

St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas says the opening of the Pavilion Beach Club on St. Kitts’ South East Peninsular is a splendid piece of property that enhances not only the Sandy Bank area but also the natural beauty of the twin-island.

Speaking at the official opening of the Pavilion, Prime Minister Douglas noted that construction started 11 months ago on one of the most beautiful public beaches in St. Kitts and commended  not only those who have designed the property, but also those who have done the physical landscaping that has transformed the piece of property into what it is today.

The Pavilion Beach Club at Sandy Bank is part of the Christophe Harbour Development on the South East Peninsula and is in addition to the Beach Club opened a few years ago.

Dr. Douglas noted that with the closure of the sugar industry in 2005, St. Kitts and Nevis continues to encourage investment in the tourism, hospitality and services industry.

“The transformation that we expect cannot be completed without the full participation of our own local residents and citizens who are investing here as well as those founders and also the property owners, who so far have encouraged this development in moving forward,” he said.

Prime Minister Douglas told invited guests several of them homeowners, investors and founders they are not just making a simple investment for themselves for their future, but also contributing to the economic and social development of St. Kitts and Nevis by impacting the lives of the people and moving the nation forward.

Pointing to the current turbulent global economic and financial times, Prime Minister Douglas said St. Kitts and Nevis continues to prepare investors and its citizens for the easing of the present situation.

“When that happens we would be ready and more than welcoming to the rest of the world. We want to instill confidence in you our prospective investors and so this property being open 11 months after it started and with the natural beauty that has been enhanced here, we are asking you to recognize the confidence that is absolutely necessary from this property in moving not only your investment forward, but the future development of an entire nation forward,” said Prime Minister Douglas.

He thanked those who have shown confidence his Government and the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
