Construction has begun on the US$10 million 86 one-bedroom Imperial Bay Beach and Golf Residences at St. Kitts’ Half Moon Bay.

“Basically we have mobilised and started construction on building one of the six buildings which will comprise the 84 condo units,” said Project Manager, Mr. Faron Lawrence.

He told the Communications Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister (CUOPM) that the first structure is now coming out of the footings on building one and work will be starting on building two on Friday.

“The project is comprised of 6 buildings comprising 84, 1 bedroom Condominium units; a common area, comprised of an office and leisure room; A common swimming pool topped off with a beautiful landscaping. Bringing a project of this size from concept in mind to concept fully fleshed out on paper involves a tremendous amount of work and involves many persons and entities,” Mr. Lawrence had said at the ground breaking ceremony in March this year.

Nearly EC$1 billion in several privately-financed development projects in St. Kitts are expected to stimulate the economy of the twin-island Federation.

They include the EC$87 million Ross University expansion in the West Farm and the $76 million Golden Rock Commercial Park, next to the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, that will include a boutique hotel, supermarket, restaurant and bar, amphitheater and meeting rooms has begun.

The US$180 million Koi Resorts and Residences will soon break ground in the latter part of this year.

A June 3rd 2013 date has been set for the groundbreaking ceremony of the multi-million dollar Park Hyatt St. Kitts by Range Developments at Banana Bay, Christophe Harbour on St. Kitts’ Southeast peninsula.

Construction of the multi-million dollar Kittitian Hill Resort and Golf Course continues at St. Kitts’ Belmont Estate.

Bad choice here. Too much development already. Leave the natural beauty that made Kitts so popular in the 1st place.

  2. Mr. Green Jeans says:

More commercial blight to spoil the islands. Kitts is fast becoming another St. Thomas. How Sad. :(
